Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Pickion (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit pickion.com (the “Site”). We keep data collection to a minimum: the Site has no user accounts, no comment section and does not sell anything directly.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, when you visit the Site some technical information is processed automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate location (country/region) and the date and time of your visit. This data comes from:
- Hosting and security — our site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes request data to serve pages and protect the Site from abuse.
- Analytics — we may use privacy-focused analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) or Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate.
- Advertising measurement — if you arrive from an ad, tags from advertising platforms (such as Google Ads and Pinterest) may record that visit and actions such as clicks on our links, so we can measure ad performance.
2. Cookies & advertising
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners may use:
| Type | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security and delivering the Site | Cloudflare |
| Analytics | Aggregate statistics about visits | Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Analytics |
| Advertising | Measuring ad conversions and, where permitted, showing relevant ads (remarketing) | Google Ads, Pinterest Tag |
| Affiliate tracking | Set by the seller or network after you click an affiliate link, to credit the referral | ClickBank and product sellers |
Google uses cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings, learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info (U.S.), youradchoices.ca (Canada) or youronlinechoices.eu (UK/EU). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still work.
Where required by law (for example, in the UK), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
3. How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve the Site;
- To understand which content is useful, in aggregate;
- To measure the performance of our advertising;
- To reply to your messages;
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where the UK GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are our legitimate interests (running and securing the Site), your consent (non-essential cookies and advertising tags) and legal obligation. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out using the options above or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honor.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site — hosting and security (Cloudflare), analytics and advertising platforms (such as Google and Pinterest) — and when required by law or to protect our rights. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
5. Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, you leave pickion.com and go to a third-party website (for example, a seller’s page or ClickBank’s order form). Any purchase and the personal and payment information you provide there are handled by that third party under its own privacy policy. We never receive your payment details. We may receive limited, non-identifying sales reports (such as a sale amount and country) to calculate commissions.
6. Retention & security
We keep emails only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the retention settings of each provider. We use reasonable measures, including HTTPS encryption, to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. This includes rights under U.S. state laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA), Canada’s PIPEDA, the UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Brazil’s LGPD. To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (for example, the UK ICO, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the OAIC in Australia).
8. International transfers
Pickion is operated from Brazil, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When information is transferred internationally, it is protected by the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when it was last changed. Questions? Email [email protected].
